Scholarships available

The Shelby Community Foundation has several funds that provide scholarships. Some scholarships have additional criteria (such as field of study) set when the scholarship fund was established. The number of scholarships available varies from year to year; most scholarships awarded are for $1,000.00.

The review process

Scholarship recipients are selected based on financial need, community involvement, and reasonable expectation that the student will succeed. As mentioned above, some scholarships have additional criteria (such as field of study). Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Students selected to receive scholarships will be notified by mail or phone and the scholarship may be announced at your school’s awards program.

 Scholarship Forms

Applications are also available at high school guidance offices.

For Scholarship Recipients a Progress Report is required after the first semester of school.
